Adorable idea for a tealight candle holder! Fun, festive and in the true spirit of Halloween decorating, this idea takes oranges, hollows them out and then cuts in the traditional Jack O’ Lantern design. The author then places a tea light candle into the orange, surrounded by whole allspice.
This is an adorable idea, and you could cut the oranges to match the designs of your pumpkins. Or, if you have children, let each one cut the “face” of the orange so each has a unique look. Oranges tend to dry pretty fast, so your mileage may vary with this craft, but it is super cute, even if you have it for a few days.
You could swap out the allspice for coffee beans, or use a scented tea light candle, if you would prefer. That way you can get the scent you love the most. I can see doing this with a cinnamon scented tealight, so you’d have the lovely scent of the cinnamon and the orange together.
